Dan Simonelli has always had a passion for film and video. He created his first short film as a freshman at college, which earned 2nd Prize at the 2006 SCAN Film Festival. A summer internship at Showtime Networks in the Creative Services Department exposed him to the world of content creation and the Film & TV production industry. During his senior year at UConn, he served as Board Member and Advertising Director for UCTV, the school television station. It was during his Senior year of college that Dan also took a Genealogical Research course that sparked a deep personal interest in his family history and one of the reasons he is passionate about helping others do the same.
After college, Dan’s career included notable projects, such as working on MTV’s Made as well as live, in-studio productions with CBS Sports. In 2010, he joined Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM). Over the years, Dan advanced within MLBAM, eventually becoming a Site Manager, overseeing digital content for MLB.com and all 30 Major League team sites. He worked on high-profile events like the World Series and All-Star Weekend, and also helped research, edit, and digitize classic, iconic and rare baseball moments for global audiences. He also worked with the Video Production department during the implementation of Replay Review and Statcast by Major League Baseball. Dan has also edited and delivered content for SNY.tv, YES Network, NCAA March Madness, MLB At-Bat App, NFL Draft, MLB Japan Series, MiLB.tv and more.
In addition to his production career, Dan transitioned into real estate, where he earned his Associate Real Estate Broker’s license with Douglas Elliman Real Estate and gained valuable experience in business strategy, self-promotion, and brand building. Now, Dan combines his expertise in digital media, marketing, and storytelling to help clients elevate their brands and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.
Outside of his professional work, Dan is an active member of the John Michael Marino Lodge, a chapter of the Sons and Daughters of Italy In America in Port Washington, New York, where he serves as a Trustee and Produces the documentary project, My Italian Story. The project captures the experiences of Italian-American members who came to America after World War II, telling their heart-wrenching and inspiring stories.
Driven by creativity, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, Dan continues to explore the ever-evolving possibilities in the digital media field and is dedicated to helping clients share their unique stories in the most compelling ways possible.
